It’s February 9th, and according to my Detox goal of fitting comfortably into my accountability shorts I’m late by 5 days, with some progress but no cigar.
You may not know this about me but I am BIG on time integrity. So much so, in fact, that I am pathologically early for everything – to the point of spending extra on fuel due to the extraneous destination circling that inevitably partners with my premature arrival tendencies. This challenge was no exception, and I expected to finish early for this too (minus the gas). Having arrived stogie-less to the party, I felt the need to address it with you because I am also BIG on progress integrity.
Turns out that at the age of 45 it really didn’t have anything to do with my diet or exercise, so it hit me as quite a shocker. However, it is only one of many chapters I’ll be apparently penning on my path toward mid-life.
And because menopause is a new topic for me (and my experience is limited thus far) I have lined up an AMAZING guest post with a gracious mentor of mine. She is a thoroughly grounded truth-speaker, who at the age of 51 throws down an honest, yet comforting perspective on this phase of life that I was frankly pretty scared about. Stay tuned for her testimonial and hopeful guidance about…(cue the Jaws soundtrack)…The Big M.
