If you came across a nutrition program that promoted donuts and Cheetos as part of your daily intake, you’d grab it with both hands, right? After all, a calorie is a calorie. Or is it?
Not only do I have a hard time putting crap food into my body, I LOVE knowing that I can eat a palm-sized chicken breast, 3 big spoonfuls of brown rice and 1/2 an avocado and hit my macros. No counting, no weighing. I feel full, energized and ready to crush it.
On the IIFYM program you will have to figure out all the numbers for every food and every meal since the carbs in a 1/2 cup of oatmeal will sure look and perform differently than the same amount of carbs in a serving of Skittles. I feel like it’s a glorified version of Weight Watchers, which is fine, IF you don’t mind feeling hungry, aren’t striving for long-term health or reaching your potential in the gym!
